Section 08:02 – Partnerships

The USS Veritas values collaboration and connection within the broader Starfleet International (SFI) community and beyond. This section outlines our partnerships with other associations, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

Connecting with Chapters Throughout the Fleet

We proudly maintain partnerships with other SFI chapters, both within Region 3 and beyond. These collaborations provide opportunities for joint activities, shared events, and a broader exchange of ideas. By fostering strong ties with neighboring chapters, we contribute to the vibrant tapestry of the Starfleet International community.

Klingon Assault Group (KAG)

In our quest for diversity and inclusivity, we recognize the importance of connections beyond Starfleet. Our current alliance with the Klingon Assault Group (KAG) reflects our commitment to embracing the rich variety within the Star Trek universe. This partnership offers unique opportunities for joint ventures and cross-fandom events, enriching the experiences of our members.

Charitable Organizations

Beyond the realm of Star Trek fandom, we extend our partnerships to charitable organizations that align with our values. Collaborating with these entities allows us to contribute meaningfully to the wider community. Whether through fundraising events, volunteer initiatives, or awareness campaigns, our partnerships with charities reflect our commitment to making a positive impact beyond the Star Trek universe.

These partnerships are dynamic and evolving, with the potential for additional collaborations in the future. By actively seeking meaningful connections both within and outside the Star Trek community, we aim to enhance the collective experience of our members and contribute to the spirit of exploration and cooperation that defines the Star Trek ethos.

Currently the non-profit organizations we support are the local Character and Leadership development programs for youth know as Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls.

Creating New Partnerships:

Process for Creating New Partnerships:

Identification and Assessment

Any new partnership must be identified and a preliminary proposal must be created and submitted to the Executive Officer (XO). The proposal should include information on the prospective organization, its mission, values, and relevance to this Star Trek chapter

Review by Leadership

The Commanding Officer (CO) and Executive Officer (XO) will review the proposal, assessing its alignment with the club’s values, goals, and existing partnerships. If the proposal meets the criteria, it will be discussed with the Department Heads and crew for further input. It will be at this stage that a complete vetting will occur. This involves gathering additional information about the potential partner, such as their reputation, activities, and any existing collaborations.

Member Consultation

The proposal, along with the vetting results, will be shared with the general membership for feedback. Members will have the opportunity to express their thoughts and concerns, providing valuable input.

Negotiation and Agreement

If the partnership is approved, negotiations will be initiated with the prospective organization. Terms of collaboration, mutual expectations, and any formal agreements will be discussed and finalized. Implementation plans, joint activities, and communication strategies will be developed to maximize the impact of the partnership.

Regular Review

Partnerships will be subject to periodic reviews to ensure continued alignment with the club’s values and goals. Adjustments or terminations may occur based on changing circumstances or feedback from members.

By following this systematic process, we aim to foster meaningful and sustainable partnerships that enhance the overall experience for our members and contribute positively to the wider community.
